Encaustic Wax
Encaustic is a painting technique in which beeswax and damar resin, mixed with coloured pigments, are fused. This technique originated in Egypt between 100 and 300 AD and was used on icons such as The Fayum Mummy Portraits and also by the Ancient Greeks.

Etchings & Linocuts
Etching involves engraving a design into a metal plate and exposing it to acid. Aquatint can then be added to create colours and tones. Linocut uses a sheet of linoleum in which the design is carved into the surface before being coated with oil-based inks and put under the press.

Mixed Media
Mixed Media describes any artwork combining several different media. These can include paints and items made mainly of organic materials, such as paper, cardboard, fibres, cloth or found objects.

Coasters
I also offer a selection of two-colour tempered glass coasters, and can create a custom set based on your preferred colour scheme.
