Etchings and Linocuts
Etching is an old printmaking process which consists of engraving a design in a metal plate and exposing it to acid which bites into it Aquatint can then be added to create colours and tones. All of my etchings are numbered limited editions.
Linocut is another old printmaking process. Using a sheet of linoleum, the design is carved into the surface with gouges. The sheet is then coated with oil-based inks using a roller and put under the press. As with etchings, limited editions can be produced.
