Encaustic Wax
Encaustic is a painting technique in which beeswax and damar resin, mixed with coloured pigments, are fused. This technique originated in Egypt between 100 and 300 AD and was used on icons such as The Fayum Mummy Portraits and also by the Ancient Greeks.
I love working with this medium and exploring its limitless possibilities.
