Le Regard
The starting point of this mixed media collage piece was a black and white photo of an unknown woman's face. I was immediately drawn to her eyes, almost trying to penetrate my soul.
I was mesmerised by the intensity of her look and the energy and movement of her hair.
I wanted to pay homage to her spiritual and physical strength with my own interpretation of "the look", i.e. "Le Regard".
Acrylics, pastels, various types of papers, corrugated cardboard
Dimensions: 68 x 50.5 cm x 3 cm
